Knitted items can last for years of faithful service if cared for properly. Most items from Antarctica Knitters are made with yarn that is not machine washable or dry-able. Doing so will cause damage and irreversible shrinkage.

The good news is, it is fairly easy to wash your knitted item!

Washing your item is identical to blocking a knitted item, so see our page on Blocking Your Knitting to show you how.
